As at April 23 2015, the National Executive Committee of the New Patriotic Party had approved a road map towards the organization of the party’s Parliamentary Primary Elections as mandated by the party’s constitution.
Due to internal challenges that were met, things did not go as planned; for this reason, the Steering Committee under a Certificate of Urgency has come out with some decisions on behalf of the National Executive Committee.
Some of the decisions include approving the candidacy of certain parliamentary aspirants who were initially disqualified and upholding request from certain Regions to put on hold their Primaries.
