There are 46 more Asamoah Gyan tapes – Maurice Ampaw

IMG_0892Lawyer for the plaintiff in the Asamoah Gyan sex scandal says there are more audio recordings of conversations between his client and the defendant.

According to Maurice Ampaw, the current audio in which Gyan is heard asking the victim to delete a video is not new and there are 46 more of such audio recordings because anytime his client spoke with the accused, the conversation was recorded.

“I think is not a new tape, it is an old tape. There are about 46 more of these recordings and Asamoah Gyan is aware of all of them”.

These recorded conversations are then forwarded to the Black Stars Captain, he told Hitz FM on the Day Break programme Monday.

Mr Ampaw was commenting on a leaked tape of Asamoah Gyan and Sarah Kwabla.

Sarah Kwabla had claimed that the player forcibly had sex with her through her anus while she bled profusely but has refused to take responsibility for his actions.

She also claimed to be pregnant as a result of the sexual intercourse.

Miss Kwabla is also alleged to have asked Asamoah Gyan to get her a furnished apartment, a housemaid and a monthly stipend of $1,000 for postnatal care.

But the Black Stars captain refused to accept the conditions describing the girl’s actions as blackmail.

The victim and his lawyer claimed they had reported the case to the Odorkor Police but in a rather shocking twist, the Odokor police told Joy News’ Fred Smith no case of sodomy had been filed against the Ghana captain by the 22-year-old Sarah Kwabla.

On the contrary however, the police say they rather received a report of blackmail filed on behalf of Asamoah Gyan, by his lawyer Kissi Agyabeng.

According to the police, the Black Star’s captain’s lawyer and his client reported the 22-year-old because she had threatened to make public a sex tape involving the Black Stars captain, hence the report.

But Maurice Ampaw says the defendant and his lawyer intentionally went to report the case to the police to paint he and his client “black”.

He said he tried to push for a settlement when the issue came to his notice but instead of waiting for matters to die down, the captain run to report the case in order to divert attention to his client.

He says the victim and her family have filed charges of rape and sodomy at the Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) against the soccer star and are waiting for recommendations from the Unit.

Maurice Ampaw says the recommendations will determine what direction the case should take, adding that if his client is implicated for lying she will face the law, same will be done for the Star’s captain.
