“The Artiste of the year in the VGMA will go to Tema” Cwesi Oteng

images (1)Is it obvious who will win the Artiste of the year in this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards? To many, it is whilst others find it difficult to point out who will be the Artiste of the year. The names battling for the grand title for Artiste of the year are R2Bees, D-Black, VIP, Kwaw Kese, Cwesi Oteng and 4X4.

The only Gospel contender in the category who doubles as a resident of Tema, Cwesi Oteng has prophesized where the ultimate Award will go to. As a guest on the popular Local Chat Show on Prime FM 89.1, Cwesi Oteng detailed listeners about Contemporary Gospel and the Ghana Music Awards which has been postponed to 18th May this year.

The Presenter of the Show, Pasino enquired from the funky Gospel Artiste who is likely to win in the various categories. Cwesi Oteng who clearly mentioned that he is not in competition with any of the contenders spewed that, “I cannot say this will win or that will win but I can confidently mention that, the Artiste of the year will come to Tema”.

With this positing, Cwesi Oteng meant himself, Kwaw Kese or R2Bees will take the title since they are the only Tema based Artistes in that category.

Spending time with his fans via phone calls through the Show, Cwesi Oteng said he does not see anything wrong with hair dye but since people see it wrong, he will not do it again. To the BBNZ progeny, his new single ‘I win’ is the latest from his vocals and fans are to listen and share with friends and family.
