VIDEO: Ken Agyapong replies Prez. Mahama, attacks Kofi Adams

Ken-Agyapong-Kofi-Adams-510x289Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong has hit back at President John Dramani Mahama for rebuking Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and other leading members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

President John Mahama hurled jibes at the Running Mate of the New Patriotic Party Flagbearer, Nana Addo, for describing his administration as incompetent.

Delivering a speech at the launch of Greater Accra NDC Agenda 60/40 in Accra on Monday, President Mahama said he will not allow “useless insults” from the NPP to distract him and further singled out Dr. Bawumia for public censure saying he (Bawumia) does not have the right to describe him (Mahama) as “incompetent” because he (Bawumia) and other NPP critics have no idea what it means to be President.

According to him, he could tolerate heat from Ex-Presidents Kufour and Rawlings but not from Dr. Bawumia and the New Patriotic Party Communicators.

All of you guys have never ever come near the Presidency before. You know what it means to be President? And you stand and say ‘incompetent Mahama administration’, ‘Incompetent Mahama administration’. What do you know about competence?

All of them in the offices they occupy, they should show us what competence they display,” President Mahama emphasized.

In a scathing response to President Mahama’s comments, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong believes the President is the cause of his own problems.

Speaking on Adom TV‘s political programme “Badwam“, Hon. Agyapong criticized the President for treating his appointees with kid gloves.

Contributing to a panel discussion programme with the Deputy General Secretary Kofi Adams on the same platform, the Assin Central MP questioned President Mahama’s competence for failing to retrieve the whopping sums paid to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome.

If I decide to be President and appoint Kofi Adams or you to run a place, if you don’t run it well; I don’t go to Kofi Adams. You come to me. Therefore, if you put square pegs in a round hole, that’s the insult you get.

President Mahama is not born to fire anybody. He is like Father Christmas…always sitting down and awaiting people to pay homage to him…We don’t govern like that. If he wants to retrieve the Woyome money, he surely can. He can retrieve the GYEEDA money. Corruption here and there, left and right….and when you act like this way, you then want to tell me you need a rocket scientist to come and tell you that you’re not incompetent? Who said that?

Quite angered by the NDC National Organiser’s reference to him (Ken’s) linkage to drug peddling, the outspoken NPP firebrand went ballistic and labeled his co-panelist as a “cheap boy”, who is unfit to be his “house help”.

If not for politics a cheap boy like you can’t talk to me the way you are talking, fool, you are not even fit to be my house boy… but I don’t blame you, I blame the cheap politics, fool, who are you,” an angry Agyapong said.

A cleraly riled Ken Agyapong then dared the Mahama administration to arrest him if they have any evidence to back the allegations of him dealing in drugs.

If you people say I deal in drugs why don’t you arrest me, you guys (NDC) have been in power for over six years why don’t you arrest me when you keep saying am a drug dealer….A poor teacher like you, if not for politics can you talk to me the way you are talking to me?…foolish man,” Agyapong added.
