Reggie N Bollie to get Sony Music deal after emerging 2nd in X Factor

menn-on-pointGhanaian pair Reggie N Bollie, will be signing a huge deal with one of the world’s biggest record labels, Sony Music, reports say.

The pair are signing the deal after emerging second in the 2015 edition of the X Factor UK music reality show Sunday night.

Reggie N Bollie made it to Sunday’s final, alongside Louisa Johnson, with the hope of bagging the £1 million prize money.

Louisa beat the Ghanaians when the votes were tallied after a star-studded finale which witnessed performances from Adele, Coldplay, One Direction and others.

While many, the world over, have praised them for their impressive stage craft, and therefore thought they deserved the title, voters thought otherwise. Nonetheless, the duo impressed managers at Sony Music.

This year’s winner Louisa Johnson and first runner-up Reggie N Bollie are set to sign big records after Sunday’s finale.

According to UK’s Daily Mirror, Louisa automatically signs to Simon Cowell’s Syco record label and she is expected to release an album next year while the Ghanaian duo is set to ink a deal with Syco’s sister label, Sony Music.

The newspaper quotes a source as saying, “There is a lot of interest in both Louisa and the boys – they will both work with labels within the Sony family.”

Judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, mentor of Reggie N Bollie, had previously said she wanted the pair to be the first signees to her own label.

She said, “I’m working with them on their album whether they want me to or not. I’m deadly serious. Simon has offered me a label for years but this would be a good act to start with. I think Simon and I need to sit down and have some serious conversations about it.”

Sony Music Entertainment (sometimes known plainly as Sony Music or by the initials, SME) is an American music corporation managed and operated by Sony Corporation of America (SCA), a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate Sony Corporation.

Sony Music has over the years worked with some of the world’s biggest artistes including Alicia Keys, Backstreet Boys, Celine Dion and Elvis Presley. Currently it has singed R. City, Carrie Underwood and Future.
