Sarkodie Is Unstoppable!

The Addo family will have a new record to put in their diary. 14th April, 2012 column of their diary will be filled as ‘When Sarkodie Won the Artist of The year For the Second Time’. Michael Kwesi Owusu Addo (Sarkodie) has been crowned by CharterHouse in collaboration with Vodafone as the best musician in Ghana for the year 2011.

His first album ‘Makye’ won 5 awards from 8 nominations and the overall ‘Artiste Of The Year’ was crowned him. Last year (2011) had no award for the Tema based rapper for the fact that he did not release any album. His second album, ‘Rapperholic’, which is less than 6 months old, has recorded amazing nomination number (12) in the annals of Ghana.

For the second time, the tongue twisting demon has refuted the popular notion that, the Artist Of The Year Award is won once in one’s musical career. Even though there were higher expectations by the ‘Sarkoholics’, a group dedicated to the ‘worshipping’ of Sarkodie, they were not so turned down after their idol was crowned the overall best.

Before the awards, all the pre discussions were in favour of Sarkodie as the Artiste Of The Year. Presenters, panelists and contributors to various showbiz programs on the various media had one category they saw no competition, ‘Artist Of The Year’ category. Sarkodie’s name was a sure mention and all those who prophesized could be called ‘faithful servants of God’.

For the winning of Best Rapper of The year, Most Popular Song of the Year and Artiste of the year, Sarkodie is set to put Ghana on the International scene.

www.233times.net congratulates the Rapperholic for his spectacular win.
