“I will contest for President of Ghana 2026” – Samini reveals

saminiDancehall Artiste, Samini has revealed his ambition to contest for the presidency of the Republic of Ghana in the next decade (2026).

In an interview with Feeling Daddy on Spice FM’s (91.19 Takoradi) weekly entertainment show ‘Penpenaa,’ the Dancestardam CEO revealed that, he is seriously eyeing President Mahama’s seat in 2026.

“Which President are you talking about, Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) President or which President?” Feeling Daddy quizzed Samini. In his response, the steadfast Samini answered “Ghana President. What are you talking about, President Mahama’s seat. Anybody can stand and everybody can stand, provided you have what it takes so in the capacity, you can say that.”

According to Samini, his presidential ambition is for 2026. Asked on which political party’s ticket he will be contesting, Samini said “When it gets there, I will know whose flag to bear. Yea, when it gets there.”

He added, “Definitely you would have to go on the ticket of a political party. You gotto build your political career to the top. You gotto serve the state and in that you gonna know whose policies fall within yours and whose dreams you share and you gonna move towards that direction. And then eventually climb to the top and become a contender for flagbearership. You then become a flagbearer and before you realise, you are going against the next guy.”

Ghana’s election years after 2016 would be 2020, 2024, 2028, 2032 and so on. As to 2026, www.233times.net  is wondering if that would be to contest for the flagbearership of the political party that he would join or Samini has another election year only him recognises?
