For a minute, this reporter had mistaken Cabo Snoop for a dancer. In a tight orange skinny jeans which will look best on women, the Angolan Artist, Cabo Snoop who is known to have dancing talents had abandon the microphone and was flirting with dancing throughout his performance.
His dance, which was seen more as a ‘gay appeal’ by many got some watchers infuriated whilst others solaced in the funny aspect of it. His number one song which has broken boundaries, ‘Windeck’ brought this former ‘Crazy Boys’ dance group member to the stage of Ghana’s biggest musical concert, Ghana Music Awards. Though his song is enjoying airplay across Africa, to many, his performance on 14th April, 2012, Vodafone Music Awards was ridicule to the country.
Instead of singing and winding his waist to compliment, the lanky septuagenarian-man-look-alike took to his waist and legs alone to the neglect of his voice. If for dance, Ghana could have replaced that with the amazing Slim Buster who has over the years given incredible music and dance performances across the world.
To this reporter, the Vodafone Music Awards could have been more interesting and brilliant without Cabo Snoop on stage. Incredible performers like Nhyiraba Kojo, VIP, Trigmatic, Tiffany, Tinny among countless names in Ghana who could have double outstand Cabo Snoop.
