Ghanaian highlife musician George Kwabena Adu, known in showbiz as Kwabena Kwabena, has said he would gladly accept an appointment from President John Dramani Mahama if offered.
Kwabena Kwabena is an ardent supporter of opposition flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo.
He is on record to have told Kessben FM’s DJ Roar, in an interview, “What made me campaign for him [Nana Addo] in 2012 has not changed”.
The silky-voiced musician was a guest on Entertainment Capital on Accra 100.5FM on Saturday 6 February 2016 and spoke about his upcoming album, which will be released in April 2016 with hits such as Tuamuda and Ensisa.
Responding to a question by host, DJ Premier, if he would ever receive an appointment from the opponent of the politician he supported in previous elections, Kwabena Kwabena said: “It depends on the area, if it’s my field and I’m confident I can, because we are serving Ghana. We have to understand as a country; in truth, I’m getting sick of our mentality as Ghanaians. It’s wrong and dangerous for the youth; we ought to have a posture of ‘Ghana First’ and nothing else. If we do that regardless of who is president, we can commend or rebuke whoever.”
Kwabena Kwabena will be hosting Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Bisa K’Dei, Nero X, and other musicians at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) on Saturday 13 February 2016 for a pre-Valentine show dubbed F14 Concert.
