The Ghana Police Service has replaced the damaged taxi of the driver who assisted in the arrest of two armed robbers in Accra, in January.
A Toyota Corolla was handed to a cousin of the taxi driver by the IGP, John Kudalor, at the Police Headquarters, Monday.
Two suspected robbers, Abaliku Sannie, 35 and Oko Quaicoo, 30 (Pictured below) shot an Administrative Assistant of Koala Shopping Mall, after she had left the Cantonment branch of the company.

The taxi driver, who witnessed the incident, stopped the fleeing shooters by ramming his taxi into a motorbike they were using to escape leaving his taxi badly damaged.
Also, he prevented some angry youth who tried to lynch the suspects. The suspects were later arrested by the police. The victims however, survived the attack.
The driver has since been commended by many, including former President J.J. Rawlings and President John Mahama for his heroic act. The President awarded him with a house.
The driver was also presented with a brand new Chevrolet Optra (Sedan) Saloon car by Koala Supermarket.
The Ghana Police Service promised to replace his damaged car, hence the presentation of the exact module that got damaged.
Cousin of the driver, Joseph Sarfo Kantanka, who received the vehicle on his behalf and was excited about the kind gesture, thanked the IGP for fulfilling the promise.
