A Takoradi born USA based fan of Kofi Kinaata and a music critic, Mark Evans Nuamah has promised to fund part of the Artiste’s Ghana Music Awards voting with $500. Mark disclosed this to www.233times.net yesterday, 1st March which happens to be his birthday.
In an exclusive interview with www.233times.net, Mark, once a resident of the first class residential area, Airport Ridge in Takoradi said he has been thinking of how to help Kofi Kinaata to win all the categories that he has been nominated for and the little he could help is to put in a budgeted $500.
“What I want to do is that, I will send the money to people in Ghana to buy credit and vote for Kinaata. I am planning to send the money to a friend in Ghana who will spread the money to people weekly so that they vote for Kinaata till the day the VGMA is due. I am a fan of Kinaata and I enjoy all his music so this is the little I could also do to help his career” Mark told www.233times.net.
He specifically mentioned that, he is targeting 4 true fans of Kinaata who would be given the money to vote for the Artiste (Kinaata) till the awards date is due. How the fans would be chosen, Mark says he should be contacted via his Facebook inbox where he would ask a number of questions to know who really is fit to be given the money for voting. He could be contacted via Facebook Mark Evans Nuamah
If there is any year aside from the discovery of oil, 2016 is a year which would go down in the annals of the history of Sekondi-Takoradi. The nominations of three Artistes (Nero X, Kofi Kinaata and Pappy Kojo) from the oil city is akin to the joy Ghana had on independence in 1957. This is a dream come true for the twin-city.
