Rapper Yaa Pono has been sued by an Event organizer for performing on EIB’s platform during the Easter festivities.
Speaking on Pluzz FM Wednesday, Edward Owusu a representative of Peace Tour Entertainment, organizers of the show said Yaa Pono and his management declined to accord the event organizers the needed respect when they failed to perform at the agreed time due to some inconveniences and sped off to Kwahu to perform on EIB’s platform.
According to him, all efforts to contact Yaa Pono’s management proved futile.
He further noted that the initial agreement was that he (Yaa Pono) would be a special guest for their Talent Hunt Competition but it was later reviewed that the show should be changed to a Jam with Yaa Pono performing throughout that night till the next morning (1am).
He said Yaa Pono’s failure to turn up caused a huge damage to them and petitioned the court for musician’s management to pay GH¢20,000.00 in damages.
But the Road Manager for the UpTown Energy Star revealed that Peace Tour Entertainment didn’t comply with the new agreement.
He also noted that his team is ready to pay off the initial amount of GH¢2,000.00 to the organizers.
Meanwhile, Yaa Pono and his management have been arraigned to appear at a Koforidua High Court on April 25, 2016.
