Western Region: 8-yr-old girl slaps 6-yr-old to death

Slap-day-2013-1Residents at Sefwi Essam in the Bia West district of the Western region are in a state of shock after a slap from an 8-year-old girl reportedly led to the death of another 6-year-old girl.

The two little girls, Benedicta Acheampong deceased and Beniwaa whose slap allegedly led to the death of her friend are both pupils at the Nana Achiaa LA Primary school.

Father Listowel narrating the incident to Nyankonton Mu Nsem, said the two little girls had a fight at school which led to the deceased receiving the slap from her friend.

According to Listowel, the deceased started experiencing what could best be described as a mild stroke as part of her [deceased] body failed to function.

Father of the deceased, one Mr. AK Boampong asked what was wrong with his daughter and she told him that she was slapped by Beniwaa and- after that, she started feeling pains in body until she could not move part of her body.

The father according to Listowel was advised to seek spiritual help for his daughter since the case was not an ordinary one.

However, the girl died mysteriously at the hospital after all attempts to save her life failed.

Some have accused the family of Beniwaa of witchcraft due to the bizarre circumstances that led to the death of her friend who she allegedly slapped.
