Dadieso police have arrested a family of four in connection with the Murder of a relative at Gyapongkrom in the Suaman District of the Western Region.
The four are Kwasi Gyimah, 52 his wife Abena Tawiah Somiah and thier two teenage sons; Gabriel Bekoe, 18, and Ernest Cudjoe Gyimah, 15, all unemployed.
The two teenage siblings have been accused of murdering their brother, one Yaw Amaga, 36 (their paternal brother) and burying him secretly, whilst their parents who allegedly knew of the incident failed to report to the police.
DSP Anthony Dobge, District Police Commander of the Suaman district reveals to Skyy Power FM’s Morning Show, JBS, a resident of the community who got a hint on the murder gave the police a tip off leading to the arrest of the four after almost three months.
According to him, Mr Gyimah, who is the father of the deceased and the other two teenage boys gave a room to the deceased, Amaga, but the two younger brothers started picking up quarrels with the deceased on who should occupy the room.
This resulted in confrontation between the three on February 14, 2016 leading to the death of Amaga after he was hit with an object by Gabriel.
The parents who were informed of the murder however failed to report to the police.
The police have since gone to exhume the body for autopsy whilst the four have been placed in police custody to assist in investigation.
