Among the items is said to be hard drives containing rushes of an upcoming video of VVIP with Patoranking and those of Stonebwoy.
They suspect someone, described as a young, neatly dressed man captured on CCTV at about 2:00am Tuesday seen walking into the East Airport Guest House room where a crew that works with Clarence Peters was lodging, to have picked up the bag containing the drives and other valuables.
The incident has been reported to the Airport Police which is investigating it. Stolen items, according to VVIP member Reggie Rockstone, included a Mac Book Pro Retina display, a couple other drives, an Ipad Air and an Infinix hot note x551 phone.
“I mean this is the creepiest thing with people still sleeping in the room,” Reggie Rockstone reportedly told Radio Gold, describing the incident as unfortunate and a disgrace to Ghana.
In a chat with Graphic Online, Rockstone said the crew had lodged at the guest house and that is where it happened.
He disclosed that a number of artistes were contributing to the bounty but that is far from being the issue at all, “We need that bag.”
“A lotta Peoples stuff on there! The police are doing dema ting I guess but we are on it strong too,” he said.
The Managing Director of East Airport Guest House, Mr. Yaw Kyei, confirmed the incident and explained the police had been there to begin investigations.
He said the all-Nigerian crew had lodged there exclusively for seven days without any incident until the morning of their departure when they reported of their missing bag.
“No one else had access to the place apart from a taxi driver they were dealing with,” he said, and added that there had not been even one incident of theft since he has operated the facility for “only God knows how long.”
