My next term will see massive investment in real sector – Prez. Mahama

john-mahama-jdmPresident John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his pledge to create more jobs for the teeming number of unemployed Ghanaians should he be given a second term to govern the country.

According to the President, he has spent his first term fixing the macroeconomic fundamentals of the country.

This he said has paved the way for investments to be made in the economy which will yield the fruits of jobs in his second term.

President John Mahama repeated these comments at the inauguration ceremony of the Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central Region today [Monday].

He said “the next term of office will see a launching of the green revolution in Ghana. We’re already designing and preparing for establishment 50 new farmer service centres across the country to provide subsidized fertilizers, agricultural mechanization services, improved seeds to farmers in all parts of this country.”

“Indeed, the next term of office will see a massive investment in the real sector. In the first term as president, I have been engrossed with trying to ensure macroeconomic stability and restoring the social and economic infrastructure. That has been my focus in the first term. The second term is going to see massive investment in the real sector and that is the sector that creates jobs across the country.”

He said through the move “millions of jobs will be created for our young people and the private sector is invited to increase their investment appetite for these projects and academia is also to intensify research for the attainment of these plans.”
