Bawumia has proven to be the proper wizkid of our time- Boaben Asamoah

Spokesperson for New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) legal team, Yaw Boabeng Asamoah says the key witness for the petitioners in the ongoing Presidential Election Petition has made the party proud.

He stated unequivocally that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has proven to be the “proper wizkid of our time”.

Boabeng Asamoah was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday.

Dr. Bawumia who is also a second petitioner in the ongoing court case has been in the witness box answering question from lawyers for the respondents.

Although he has been bombarded with series of questions about the supposed irregularities the petitioners are alleging, Bawumia is to be up to the tasked, Boabeng posited, adding that since he mounted the witness box, Dr. Bawumia has been trying assiduously to defend the case of his party to ensure they win.

The spokesperson who could not hide his joy said he is impressed with Dr. Bawumia’s performance so far.

He said the 2012 Vice Presidential candidate of the NPP has proven beyond reasonable doubt that he is a well cultured person who cannot be easily provoked.

“I now understand why Bawumia is a stubborn witness. He is a real pain in the neck of the counsel for the respondents; their demeanor tells it all.”

The NPP lawyer noted Bawumia has proven his critics wrong and has also performed beyond the expectation of the rank and file of the party.

Boabeng Asamoah added that victory for the NPP would be victory for democracy.
