Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has shared his commiserations in the predicament of former EPL striker Demba Ba who broke his leg in a horrific clash last Sunday.

Demba Ba’s leg snapped horrifyingly in a clash with an opponent during his club, Shanghai Shenhua’s 2-1 win over Shanghai SIPG on Sunday, and the injury was thought to be a career ending one, at least according to reports quoting concerns by Shenhua’s coach, Gregorio Manzano.

But tweeting his concerns Tuesday, Gyan said just the thought of the injury gives him no sleep.

I’m with you, he says, and adds that Ba will return to the game.

“Hmmm – can’t even sleep, just the thought of that injury …. am with u @dembabafoot …u will return #believeoverhope.”

“It’s maybe the end of his professional career,” Manzano was quoted as saying soon after the Senegalese international was taken off the pitch after 70 minutes, and added that he would have preferred losing the match to losing Ba.

And in a tweet by Nigerian journalist Oluwashina Okeleji, Nigeria’s Obafemi Martins is seen with Ba at the latter’s hospital bedside as he wishes Demba Ba a ‘speedy recovery’.
