Prez. Mahama lacks ideas – Osafo-Marfo

marfo-593x330Former Minister of Education, Youth and Sports under President Kufuor’s regime, Nana Yaw Osafo-Marfo, has stated that President John Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC) lack vision, ideas and knowledge to transform Ghana.
According to him, leadership is not about youthfulness but rather knowledge, wisdom and experience. He therefore, entreated all Ghanaians to vote out the NDC government and bring in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to turn the fortunes of Ghana’s economy round.

Mr. Osafo-Marfo, addressing a mammoth rally at the campaign launch of Gifty Twum Ampofo, the Abuakwa North Member of Parliament (MP) at Akyem Osiem in the Eastern Region, claimed, “For citizens to live up to standard, it requires a visionary person with a lot of experience to govern the nation.”
He noted that Ghanaians have experienced untold hardships under President Mahama’s NDC government. He stressed that this is the time to mobilize citizens of Abuakwa North to vote for the current MP and the presidential candidate of the NPP, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, in the December polls.

Mr Osafo-Maafo, who was once a finance minister, emphasized that there had been numerous criticisms about Nana Addo that he is old, noting that those remarks would not transform the country’s economy that Mahama and his NDC government have messed up.

Chairman of the Eastern Regional Council of Elders of the NPP noted that Nana Addo is not just a mature person, but a patriotic man who has the country’s problems at heart and is therefore, ready to save the country from the incompetent NDC government.
He further noted that there are 76 universities in the country and that all these institutions produce graduates every year who become a burden on society because Mahama and his government had made no effort to create jobs in the country for them.

He appealed to the Inspector General of Police to talk to his men to exhibit professionalism in the line of duty and refrain from unnecessary shootings that may cause fear and panic among the electorate and prevent them from exercising their franchise on December 7.
Nana Osafo-Marfo urged the National Peace Council to advise the Electoral Commission to help sustain the country’s peace by ensuring that the right thing is done. He noted that peace cannot prevail if there is no Justice.
