A misunderstanding between two friends in the Tolon District of the Northern Region on Thursday night turned bizarre when one stabbed the other to death.

The suspect, Alhassan Chinto 26, a bicycle spare parts dealer who is in the grips of the police for murder is said to have stabbed his bosom friend, Fuseini Daanaa to death during a heated argument.

The argument was said to have started after Daanaa allegedly broke a table Chinto use for his business.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) morgue while the suspect is in the custody of the police.

The incident was said to have happened around 9pm on Thursday. The suspect was apprehended by some residents of the town who later handed him over to the police.

The quarrel between the two started in the afternoon but they were separated. Later in the evening they met at the outskirts of the town to slug it out which resulted in the death Daanaa.
