They said they have been denied developments under President John Mahama’s administration because they have consistently voted for the NPP and that nothing would stop them from doing same.
Speaking on behalf of his colleagues, Nana Owusu asked those 58 chiefs to clap if they really agreed to what he said and would vote for the NPP and in unison they clapped in the affirmative.
They expressed confidence in the ability of the NPP flag bearer to bring development to the people in the area.
Nana Owusu added that though chiefs were barred from engaging in partisan politics, they were not barred from to castlng their votes.
Nana Akufo-Addo expressed gratitude for the support and assured them that just as President John Kufuor placed the economy in the best shape for businesses to flourish and generate employment, he would also work to ensure that more jobs were created.
He denied claims that he was supporting an independent candidate in the constituency.
