– The three African countries to be affected by the executive orders are Libya, Sudan and Somalia

US President Donald Trump is set to deny citizens of three African countries visas to America.

Trump is expected to sign executive orders that will restrict or completely ban immigration to America by citizens of several Middle East and African countries.

The orders will affect three African countries namely Libya, Sudan and Somalia.

Stephen Legomsky, a former chief counsel at US Citizenship and Immigration Services in the Obama administration, said Trump has the authority to limit refugee admissions and the issuance of visas to specific countries if it is determined to be in the public’s interest.

 

The president will sign the executive orders at the headquarters of the Department of Homeland Security, which is responsible for immigration and border security on Wednesday, January 25.

Below are the countries that will be affected by the executive orders with their citizens being denied visas to the US.
