Obuor’s administration is incompetent like Mahama’s NDC – Kwaisey Pee

13062018_1131982943489105_3197861355138579935_nGhanaian ‘silky voice’ singer Akwasi Opoku popularly called ‘Kwaisey Pee’ has launched a scathing attack on the President of Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) Bice Osei Kuffour for mismanaging the union.

A disappointed Kwaisey Pee likened Obuor’s administration to the former National Democratic Congress (NDC) government which was perceived by a section of the public to be freight with insolence, incompetence, corruption and insults.

Obuor’s administration has lately been criticised by actors, musicians and entertainment pundits in the industry for pursuing his personal agenda.

Controversial dancehall artiste Shatta Wale on his twitter page last year described Obuor as a ‘gold digger’ for wasting musicians’ monthly dues whilst majority of them suffer in poverty.

Speaking on Kumasi based Abusua FM,he bemoaned the failure by Obuor to solve pertinent issues bedevilling the sector especially their welfare.

Taking a swipe at Obuor whom he rooted for when the former made his intentions known to contest the MUSUGA presidency, he said Obuor has failed musicians adding that he regrets campaigning for him.

According to him, he had so much hopes in Obuor to deliver but his hopes and that of his colleagues’ were later dashed due to the incompetence exhibited by Obuor.

‘Obuor’s administration is like the NDC government led by the former President John Mahama which was kicked out, full of incompetence. Just like we had hopes in the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to win the elections to support the entertainment and creative arts. I supported Obuor’s candidature because I thought he being a young artiste would change the fortunes of MUSIGA which was predominantly led by elderly musicians who were not really pushing the industry forward to the benefit of musicians.

The fact that I supported him doesn’t mean that I shouldn’t criticise him for non performance. I have to criticise him for disappointing musicians, the same goes to the President Nana Addo if he doesn’t perform, we will point it to him. I had so much hopes that Obuor would change the face of the industry. But his administration is nothing to write home about, I am disappointed in his style of leadership,’ he complained.

Kwaisey Pee has released a new song titled ‘its about time’ featuring Flow King Stone.

‘May God bless all my fans across the globe, continue to patronise my songs,’ he expressed appreciation.
