defiled-girlA Cameroonian student in Ghana who allegedly inserted his finger into the vagina of a four-year-old girl at Kwashieman in Accra has been put before an Accra Circuit Court.

Yves Martial Ekobe has pleaded not guilty to indecent assault, and the court presided over by Mrs. Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku remanded him into Police custody to appear again on March 8 for continuation of hearing. Prosecuting Detective Inspector Kofi Atimbire said the complainant is, who is the victim’s mother, resides in the same house with the accused person. Both the complainant and the accused person are Cameroonians.

On February 25, this year, the complainant asked her elder daughter to bath the victim but in so doing the elder sister wanted to wash the victim’s vagina but she declined saying “it was paining her.” Inspector Atimbire said the elder sister informed the complainant who examined the victim’s vagina and saw that her vagina walls look reddish. Prosecution said when the complainant quizzed the victim she indicated that it was Ekobe who put his finger into her vagina. The complainant lodged complaint with the Police and accused was arrested while a medical form was issued to the complainant to send the victim to the hospital for medical attention.

The complainant returned the medical form fully endorsed by a medical officer of the Ga South Municipal Hospital.
