18300864_10206677450134992_9134017785998441642_nMaximous Adade Mensah, known in Showbiz as Dr. Pounds, host of Hitz Gallery on Hitz FM has marked the maiden edition of Western Music Awards which came off last Saturday (29th April) 80 over 100.

The celebrated broadcaster who presented the award for ‘Best Rapper of the year’ mentioned that “even though there were some technical hitches on the night people enjoyed themselves so much. Of course the late start of the event was bad but I think it was a great show.”

Dr. Pounds admonished organizers of the event to “think of a bigger place next year because the place will not be able to contain the number of people who will come for next year’s event.”

Speaking to www.233times.net on phone, Dr . Pounds said he rates the Western Music Awards on the same level as Ghana Music Awards and Excellence Awards even though he will place the Western Music Awards third to these award ceremonies.

“Western Region has great talents and I am glad this awards has come to recognize these talents” Dr. Pounds concluded.
