Yahaya Mohammed denies contract termination with Azam FC

wpid-wp-1459702264135Ghanaian international striker Yahaya Mohammed, who plays for Azam FC in Tanzania, has denied rumours about his contract termination by the club’s management after reportedly failing to meet the team’s standard.

Yahaya, who signed a two-year deal with Azam FC in 2016 after leaving Aduana Stars, has come out to clear rumours about management of the club terminating his contract. He stated emphatically that upon consulting both his personal manager and team’s management, they affirmed that the rumour is a fallacy and should be rubbished. He was displeased with publishers for circulating false news about him. He said he could file a lawsuit against the publishers for feeding the public with an untrue story about him.

He argued that these publishers cannot publish false information about high profiled players like ace striker, Asamoah Gyan and Andre Dede Ayew and go scot-free. He revealed that, he is still in Ghana because the Tanzanian league is on break after ending the season. He said he would return to Tanzania immediately when the 2017/18 season kick starts. The striker disclosed that several teams have expressed their interest in his services.

These teams include his former club Aduana Stars and one other Mexican club. According to Mohammed, even though he did not get a call-up into Black Stars, he is not alarmed simply because he has hopes to play for the national team in the near future once his career has not come to an end. “I am going to support the team with my prayers in order for them to chop successes,” he said.
