The Kasoa police has begun investigations into the circumstances which led to the death of a young man following allegations that he was stabbed to death by a military man.

The military man has subsequently been remanded into police custody by the Kasoa-Ofaakor District Magistrate Court.

This is to enable the police to establish the true facts of the case.

The incident happened on Friday night. The deceased, Nana Yaw was in the company of some friends when the said soldier and his colleagues pounced on them and allegedly extorted monies from them.

They were said to have asked them to surrender their mobile phones but Nana Yaw resisted and during the exchanges, he was allegedly stabbed by the military man.
