Minister to Ibrahim Mahama – Go for your seized machines

The Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister Elizabeth Agyeman is informing owner of Engineers and Planners (E&P) Ibrahim Mahama to go for his seized machines from the Nkawie Police in the Ashanti region.

E & P was subcontracted by Exton Cubic Group to prospect for bauxite at Nyinanhini in the Ashanti Region, but their machines were impounded by the Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah.

Mr Osei Mensah has argued that he was not properly briefed about the operations of Exton Group at Nyinanhini which falls under his jurisdiction.

However, the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources last week invoked the company’s license describing the mining lease as invalid.

Speaking on abusua fm’s abusua nkommo, the Deputy regional Minister indicated that Ibrahim can pick his machines anytime he’s ready.

According to her, a decision was taken by Regional Security Council (REGSEC) for the release of the equipment.

‘Owners of E &P can now go for their machines. We will write to inform or even go to the Nkawie District Police Command to ask them to release the equipment to its owners.
