Akoo Nana should mention name of police station for media to verify – Obour denies arresting Artiste

President of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Bice Osei Kuffour, known in Showbiz as Obour has denied arresting Akoo Nana for posting on social media the poor state of the union and has challenged the Artiste to reveal the name of the police station for the media to verify.

Last week, a picture of Akoo Nana being escorted by the Police Station surfaced online and a section of the media linked that to an arrest of Akoo Nana for a video post he shared online accusing Obour of mismanaging musicians’ money.

Speaking to www.233times.net on phone, Obour denied causing the arrest of fellow Artiste Akoo Nana real name William Ato Ankrah, Akoo. “He just wants to draw attention to himself so he just created that stunt. I don’t know about it, I’ve called everybody at MUSIGA, I’m actually not in Accra, I’m not in town but I called my people at MUSIGA and nobody knows anything about it” Obour told www.233times.net.

He added that “I cannot think of any other thing that creating attention for himself. I’m not behind it and ive spoken to everybody at MUSIGA office and nobody knows anything about it. I’ve put it on my social media, I’ve put it everywhere that it’s not true. You could check my Instagram, my Twitter, I’ve put a note out that it’s not true.”

According to Obour “I don’t even know the Police Station that he went, do you know the Police Station he went to? If it’s true he should put the police station out so that you guys (media) can follow up and know what the occurrences was. Its sounds funny the way people publish stories to discredit other human beings. It’s unfortunate but that is the world we live in.”

Obour who was in Kumasi over the weekend for the one year celebration of his mother’s burial told www.233times.net that “I’ve been here (Kumasi) since Wednesday (25th October, 2017) so I don’t know anything about Akoo Nana’s visit to MUSIGA and all those stories, I have no clue.”

As at press time, Akoo Nana had been called more than ten times on phone but he did not pick up the call.
