Police shoots GSTS final year Student dead, injures others for mistaken them to be thieves (DISTURBING PHOTOS)

A police constable with the Inchaban police has shot dead a final year student of Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) under a bizarre circumstances at Nyankrom near Shama in the Western Region.

The Cop whose name has been given as Shaibu was reportedly on a motor bike when he spotted a group of about five persons ( four boys and a girl) walking towards Shama Junction.

One of the injured victims, Kobina Dorpoh, old student of Methodist Senior High tells Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson they were on their way to a street Jam being organised by some youth from the area around 8pm on Friday, December 22.

According to the victim, there has been series of Robberies in the Area in which a Lady believed to be the Cop’s Girlfriend is a victim, so the cop upon seeing them, mistook them for thieves and shot at them resulting in the casualties.

The victim tells me some of them are even friends with the cop who had the previous day dashed them money

The body of the deceased, Lawrence Baidoo who just vacated for Christmas holidays on same day of the incident has been conveyed to the Effia Nkwanta Hospital Morgue whilst two others are being treated at St Benedict Hospital at Inchaban.

Kwesi Bentil who is the Uncle of the deceased tells Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson the whereabout of the Cop is not known.
