“Yeah indeed, man pass man” – Prez. Akufo-Addo teases Mahama

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has stated that his extraordinary performance in just one-year – which has led to the country being restored to the path of prosperity – seems to have dazed his critics.

According to him, people who continuously cast doubts about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) campaign promises, have been put to shame as they (critics) have now realized that indeed, the NPP can fulfill all its promises.

The president, who was sounding extremely confident, stated categorically that he and his government would fulfill all the campaign promises and very soon Ghanaians will realize that “Yeah indeed, man pass man.”

Even though President Akufo-Addo did not explain what the ‘Man pass man’ comment means and whom he attributed it to, political pundits have suggested that it might be directed at his predecessor, John Dramani Mahama.

According to President Akufo-Addo, very soon his extraordinary works would lead to total transformation of the state and that the citizenry would appreciate the fact that the country is indeed in the hands of a good manager.

“I am only appealing to you to give me full support and leave the rest to me and my competent appointees; and I assure you that we will work and fulfill all our campaign promises that would lead to total transformation of our country,” he declared.

President Akufo-Addo was addressing scores of NPP grassroots members in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, last Saturday. Party gurus in the various constituencies in the region were also present at the event.

The first gentleman of the land, who made a snap visit to the capital of the Ashanti Region, used the occasion to officially thank the members in the region for their vital contributions that helped the NPP to win the 2016 polls.

“But for your support, sacrifices and hard work, the NPP could not have won the 2016 polls and so I am here officially to wholeheartedly thank you personally and on behalf of our great party, the NPP, for helping us to win the 2016 polls,” he underscored.

President Akufo-Addo cautioned the NPP members against backbiting and in-fighting, stressing that they should remain united and support his government to push Ghana forward.

Dr Amoako Tuffuor, a top member of the party, disclosed that the NPP administration inherited a huge debt, adding that President Akufo-Addo is working to service the debt and also fulfill all his campaign promises.
