History of Fusion Choir
Fusion started in August 2007 and first ministered in October that same year. It started with 11 people members namely Emelia, Clara, Cilla, Cordylia, Sarah, Lawrencia, Edem, Ben, Danny, Sena, Judah and Steve.
Fusion started with the name Steve and friends (named after the leader and founder) but later given the name Fusion by Pastor Rev Alexander Botchway who doubles as the patron of the choir.
The name fusion came as a result of singers and instrumentalists and other people from the church but in different departments being FUSED into one group.
The Idea and motivation
The idea of Fusion was inspired by 3 gentlemen namely Stephen Owusu, Judah Entsuah Mensah and Daniel Dadson in a discussion. Rev Alexander Botchway, the head of Kings Temple gave the necessary motivation to bring the idea into fruition.
Fusion was formed to complement the already existing ‘The Evergreen’ Kings Temple Choir and also bring variety of styles and genres of music. Again, it was aimed at protecting and enhancing the high standard of music in ICGC Kings Temple Takoradi and mainly to compose and minister songs to bless, heal, deliver and inspire Christians.
