Born Awal Alhassan, acclaimed Sound Engineer Possi Gee has won Vodafone Ghana Music Award’s (VGMA) ‘Best Sound Engineer’ of the year for the second time.
According to VGMA, the Sound Engineer of ‘Record of the year’ song wins the Sound Engineer of the year. In 2017 VGMA, Adina’s ‘Too late’ won ‘Record of the year’ and this year too, a song engineered by Possi Gee, ‘State of the Art’ by Teephlow won ‘Record of the year’ which makes Possi Gee win the Best Sound Engineer for the second year running.
Speaking to Possi Gee, “I believe hard work pays. I have worked hard over the years so I believe it is paying.”
“I am told I will receive my plaque soon. Teephlow has received his though. I was told I would be given mine soon” Possi Gee added.
Possi Gee has worked with many music giants in Ghana and across the world. Artistes like Sarkodie, Stoneboy, Shata Wale, King Promise, Adina, T-Flow amongst others have benefitted from Possi Gee’s ingenuity. His has an enviable mark in the Ghanaian music industry.
