There was a drama on Friday morning, April 20, 2018 at Effiakuma when Taskforce from State Housing Corporation locked up father and his four children aged between 1 and 8 in their house over Rent
A source close to the Task force reveals that the team were going round to retrieve outstanding rent from defaulters
When they got to a house near the Anglican church at Effiakuma, around 9am, they demanded a part payment from the tenant by name Nana Kow who was then in the house with his four little children when the wife, Abena Donkor had gone out to trade
Misunderstanding ensued in the process during which the Task force asked the tenant to come out so they could lock the main gate
The Tenant refused to comply so the team went ahead to lock the main gate leaving the tenant and his four children inside
A neighbour, Emmanuel Panford whose attention was drawn to the incident as a result of the cry of the little baby boy among the children called Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson to inform him.
It took the intervention of Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson for the gate to be reopened after about 5 hours
