10 Signs you’ll be very successful in the future

When you’re on time, you’re showing that you are someone who is dependable, trustworthy, and who is committed to the cause. You don’t want to let people down, you’re raring to get going from the start, and time is clearly important to you.

Because you know how to be efficient and use time well, you’re destined to be a success.

You don’t complain

When things don’t go your way, you don’t sit around and complain. You find a solution and come back stronger. You make the odds work in your favor.

You celebrate other people’s success

It’s funny to see how different people react to the success of their friends. While some throw parties and heap praise on their friends, others are more reserved and hold back.

How come? Shouldn’t we all be happy that our friends have made it?

You’d think. But some people just don’t like to see that their friends are getting ahead of them.

You, however, love to see your friends making it. You probably even helped them on their journey. Their success – far from making you jealous – just increases your hunger to be a success yourself.

You speak up

Believe it or not, just because a person is successful or destined to be successful, it doesn’t automatically mean that they’re super confident. In fact, a lot of winners had to learn how to be more confident.

Surprised? You probably should be.

But winners have learned that in order to be a success, they have to speak up, voice their opinions and express themselves. Do you do this? If so, it’s another clear sign that you’re well on your way to making it in life. You’ve got a vision, and instead of keeping it to yourself, you’re prepared to show it to the world and make a start on it. Others have got their ideas, but you know yours is awesome – and you’re ready to speak up about it.

You know your purpose

Successful people tend to know their purpose early on in life. They have a drive, a desire to get things done. Entrepreneurs have always been entrepreneurs, writers have always been writers. It’s a compulsion, an obsession that they can’t ignore.

You don’t wait for things to happen

Ever heard someone say to you, “I finally had a good day today because it didn’t rain and my bus was on time”?

We’re paraphrasing, but you get the picture.

The thing is, far too many of us have good days by accident. We don’t make a good day happen. Instead, a good day happens because certain things fell into place. We got lucky!

It’s the same when it comes to chasing their dreams for a lot of people. They have no control over whether or not their dream will be realized, because they don’t take control and make things happen. Instead, they wait for things to happen.

If you kick things off without hanging around for things to begin, it’s another sign that you’re ready for success.

You make decisions with your long-term goal in mind

If everything you do – on a micro and a macro level – is done with the aim of taking you nearer to your goal, this is another strong sign that you will achieve success.

All successful people do this. They have one major long-term goal in mind and make small, incremental moves each day that will take them closer to that goal.

For example, if drinking tonight will set them back a whole two days in achieving their overriding goal, they won’t drink.

You know what your goal is, and you know what needs to be done to achieve it.

You want to prove people wrong

You know what fires up a lot of successful people? A desire to prove people wrong.

We all have doubters. If you want to prove yours wrong so badly, you will do.

You take responsibility

Average people have a hard time accepting their mistakes. They don’t like to admit that they did something wrong.

Successful people, on the other hand, have no problem admitting their mistakes. They love to take responsibility. Why? Because by admitting responsibility, they can then set about finding a solution to their mistake.

If you’re always willing to accept responsibility – not just for your own mistakes but also for your team’s mistakes – it’s another strong sign that you’ll be a success in the future.

You’re focused on learning

Average people can’t wait to leave school. Maybe you were the same. School sucked for a lot of us!

But whereas average people give up learning almost altogether after school, you’re still keen to keep studying and improving.

You know that you’re not the finished article – far from it. There are things you still need to improve on, new skills to acquire. And you’re well aware that the more relevant skills you have, the more successful you will be.
