“PONO Means Prince Of New Origin; Its not Pornography” Yaa Pono Explains Name

There have been scads of speculations in the Showbiz circles that, the Pidgin Music progeny, Yaa Pono bears a name which is profane. Many read different meanings into the name with thoughts of Porno (short form of Pornography).

www.233times.net in an interview with the TEMA bred rapper poked the rapper with this question, “You bear two controversial names, Yaa and Pono, why that?”. The ‘Nsemkwua’ rapper explained that, the Yaa is from the best President that ever lived, President Gnassingbe Eyadema and the Pono means ‘Prince of New Origin’. 

In the same interview, Yaa Pono mentioned that, he is set to release two (2) albums this year; a Hiplife and Rock Albums. To him, the Rock album will show this versatility side.
