“I get calls from Senior High Schools everyday asking me when they should expect me there for their turn of the ‘Say No to Tramadol’ campaign. I sometimes feel sad that I am unable to go to those schools due to lack of financial support” Nero X told www.233times.net why his Senior High School (SHS) campaign against tramadol abuse is on hold.
Joseph Kwame Buabeng Nkrumah popularly known in Showbiz as Nero X who started a massive Senior High School campaign against tramadol abuse further revealed that he spent GHC 19,860.00 from his pocket on the six (6) SHSs he visited in the Western Region and visiting more schools will bleed him financially so he has suspended the campaign until further notice.
According to the celebrated Artiste, “without sponsorship, I cannot do more schools even though it is my wish to dedicate the whole of 2018 for this project. I am happy to know that most of the Students have taken my advice seriously and most of them send me messages to tell about how the campaign has been helpful. I wish there would be financial support to do more.”
“I work with other Speakers for the tour and at least you need to sort their transportation when they come for the campaign. I work with a whole team and the logistics that goes into just one school when we do this campaign is crazy. The renting of buses, the DJs and Artistes we take to the schools, the fuel for my personal car, the money for call credit to the various schools, the team members and feeding” Nero X listed what goes into visiting one school financially for the campaign.
“Anyone who is willing to support is welcome. We are all doing it for the benefit of future generations so if you will be willing to support, we welcome it” Nero X added.
Together with the Westline Entertainment, Nero X took the ‘Say no to Tramadol Abuse’ Campaign to Adiembra SHS, Mpohor Senior High School, Sekondi College, Takoradi SHS, Takoradi Technical Institue and Fijai SHS.
