There’s no connection between Menzgold and Gold Coast Security – Zonal Manager calms customers

The Western and Central Regions’ Zonal Manager for Gold Coast Security, Mr. Alex Laar in calming customers who trooped in the bank to withdraw their investments told them that there is no link between Menzgold and Gold Coast Security.

That was an answer Mr. Laar gave to one customer who came to the SSNIT Branch of the Gold Coast Security in Takoradi to withdraw her money because she heard that Menzgold is connected with Gold Coast Security. “Last Friday I titled my Lecture ‘Atetes3m’ and I gave an open forum to the customers to tell me why some of them were actually coming to withdraw. Some said that they’ve heard that Gold Coast has a connection with Menzgold and because Menzgold has been asked to stop its operations they think that we are also going down that is why they were rushing to come and pick the money before they hear something else” one of the customers’ reason for withdrawing her money from Gold Coast Security.

“I told them that in fact the pedigree of the person at the forefront of the company, Dr.  Papa Kwesi Nduom, we know what he has in this country and we know what he is capable of doing to pay the customers should the worst come of it for which I told them that may God forbid, it will not even happen” Mr. Laar’s answer to the customer who was withdrawing her money because of the Menzgold saga that has sent shock waves through depositors.

“People should not panic, that is why our Group Chairman and the President has taken it upon himself to move round the country to talk to people not to do this panic withdrawal because it weakens the banking system. If you’ve followed what he’s doing, even Christian Council has applauded him” Mr. Laar told www.233times.net.

Following the weekly lectures Mr. Laar gives to the customers every Monday, some of the customers who withdrew their money have redeposited them at the bank because a lot of misinformation have been corrected via that weekly seminar.

Mr. Laar called on the media to help them educate the customers because of the scanty information about the banking crisis that customers have.
