Double Track System: Gold track to report Nov. 10

The double track system seems to be progressing successfully as the green track will be vacating for the gold track to take over in the second week of November.

According to Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, Deputy Minister of Education, the gold track will be going to school on November 10 instead of 8 as announced earlier.

Speaking in an interview with Kwami Sefa-Kayi on Peace FM morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Monday, the Deputy Minister said the change of date is for the various schools to put things in place before the second batch resumes.

“So far everything is going on as planned…” he added.

The green track which was the first batch of students under the double track system reopened school on September 11, 2018.

The double track system introduced in the senior high schools divides the entire student body and staff into two different tracks. So, while one track is in school, the other is on vacation.

The system was a measure to address congestion in senior high schools following the implementation of the Free SHS policy.
