Kidnap alert in Takoradi: Kidnappers used MTN job vacancy to lure lady

An 18 year old lady has been kidnapped by unknown assailants in Takoradi, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in the afternoon.

Nana Adwoa Quayson, an elder sister of the victim narrates to Connect FM’s Nhyiraba Paa Kwesi Simpson in a very terrified tone the sister saw a purported advertisement about Job vacancy at MTN in a WhatsApp group and tried to follow up this morning through an accompanying contacts.

“My sister left the house this afternoon to meet the supposed persons who were in charge of the recruitment” the elder sister explained.

According to her, when her sister got to the entrance of the MTN office at the Market Circle, some guys who were standing by stopped and asked if she was the one coming for the MTN job interview.
“My sister claims she answered in the affirmative and they asked her to join them in a Taxi to a certain location for the interview and that was all” she sobbed as she explained further.

The kidnappers later in the afternoon used the victim’s line to call her relatives to confirm she was in their custody and allowed her to talk briefly. They are demanding a GHc500 ransom for her release.

The kidnappers have since switched off the phone. Report has since been lodged with the police
