“I am confident you’ll bounce back even stronger” – Prez. Akufo-Addo to Dogbe

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has expressed confidence in Ghana’s boxing icon Isaac Dogbe, to bounce back stronger after he lost his WBO Super Bantamweight title to Mexican Emmanuel Navarette in the United States of America on Sunday morning.

Dogboe, who until now had gone 20 fights without defeat, lasted the entire 12 rounds.

By unanimous decision, all the 3 judges scored the bout in favour of the Mexican.

In a tweet, Nana Akufo-Addo encouraged Dogbe to keep his head up.

“Better luck next time to the Royal Storm Isaac Dogbe. I am confident you’ll bounce back even stronger. Keep your head up,” Mr Akufo-Addo tweeted.

Dogbe, after failing to defend his title, said he will take a break, regroup and aim to come back to the top again.
