Takoradi kidnapper gets 18 months for jail break

The Takoradi Market Circle Court presided over by Judge Michael Ampadu has sentenced the alleged Takoradi girls kidnapper, Samuel-Udoetuk-Wills to 18 months imprisonment.

The sentence was with regards to his jailbreak in December 2018.

The suspect was jailed based on two charges of escaping lawful custody and destroying property as the prosecution could not prove the third charge of resisting arrest.

Lawyer for the families of the kidnapped girls, Michael Kuranchie and a brother to one of the kidnapped girls expressed their dissatisfaction over the development demanding swift investigation into the whereabouts of the girls.
