PHOTOS: Rainstorm renders Soldiers homeless in Tamale

The Northern Regional Minister, Salifu Saeed, has expressed worry over the destruction of five accommodation blocks of the military at Barwah barracks in Tamale.

The destruction was caused by rainstorm last week.

According to him, most of the military officers whose houses got destroyed are currently on peacekeeping operation.

The minister has therefore appealed to the Ministry of Defence and government to come to the aid of the affected officers.

Meanwhile, the Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has ordered the Defence Ministry to within the next two months reconstruct the blocks.
