Western Region to celebrate Artistes, DJs, Ent. Show Hosts at 3rd edition of RTC Western Music Awards on 11th May in Takoradi

Westline Entertainment, organizers of the annual music awards in Western Region are all set for the third edition of the Rigworld Training Centre (RTC) Western Music Awards which is slated for Saturday 11th May, 2019 at the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi.

The awards ceremony which would begin with a red carpet event will start at 6:30pm and the main event will be at 7:30pm.  Three new categories Urban Gospel Song of the Year, Afropop Song of the year and Brassband of the year were added to this year’s awards making a total of 26 categories this year. According to Westline Entertainment the organizers of the awards, these new categories will help other genres in the industry to be recognized as well including the flagship Lifetime Achievement Awards which would be presented to 3 legends from the Western Region.

Patrons of the awards night would witness a total of 22 Artistes’ performances on the night. Amongst some of the performers are A.B Crentsil, Kofi Bentil, Ayesem, Fameye, Nero X, El Manuel, Mrs. Suzzie Arthur, Dope nation, amongst others.

“There would be performances from each genre. Patrons would experience at least one performance from an Artiste in all the genres in the categories. There would be an all-female performance and some exciting performances on the night too. We are all set for the night and we promise you an exciting experience” Nana Kwesi Coomson, Public Relations Officer for the awards added.

With the tagline ‘The Best Comes From The West,’ the third edition of the awards is expecting over 1,000 patrons on the night.

Tickets for the awards which are sold at Justmax Travel and Tours and All Needs Supermarket, all in Takoradi are GHc50 and GHc100 for standard and VIP respectively.
