Abandoned Fijai dual carriage Road: Trailer Drivers dare Contractor

3“He should tell the truth and stop saying because of us that is why he has not been able to continue his work on the road. The government doesn’t have money to pay Asabea Construction to continue, it is not because of our parking” Kwaku Ansah, Secretary of the Trailer Drivers Association defended.

Trailer Drivers who are illegally parking on the Fijai dual carriage road say Contractors of the road, Asabea Construction’s defense that they have not been able to continue work on the road because of the parking of the trailer drivers on the road is a blatant lie.

According to Mr. Ansah, Asabea Construction is cash-strapped and the construction company even owes them. Mr. Ansah who spoke to Omanbapa Kofi Amoah on Skyy Power FM’s Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS) dared Asabea Construction to start work as soon as possible because they will stop parking there.

The trailer drivers say their parking there is transient and by 9am every morning, most of them leave the Fijai dual carriage to their various destinations so Asabea Construction is only giving flimsy excuse using them as reason why he has stopped working on the road.
