District Assembly Election results in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis

757490645_689030Hurricane ‘changeana’ hits New Takoradi as both incumbents lose seat. New Takoradi Upper…Samuel Amissah, floors incumbent John Koomson.

NB: The defeated Assembly member was twice the best Assembly member of the year for STMA.

New Takoradi lower…Hannah Tetteh floors incumbent Edwin Adoko, a popular Akan Broadcaster with GBC, Sekondi

The following incumbents also lost their re-election bid
Sampson K. Nimako…Asafo, he was floored by Abu Seidu, a former Assembly member

Kofi Appiah….Essikafo Ambantsem number one
Badu Nkansah…..Effiakuma East
Peter Godwyl…Fijai
Josephine Cobbinah….Cassava farm
Isaac Badu Nkansah….Effiakuma East

Edward York Isliker who wanted to go for a second term in Adra was disqualified for over age.
He died shortly after his disqualification at age 73

James Ateiku, a blind incumbent who wanted a re-election at Dwomo in the Shama district also lost
But Blames his loss on his opponents who used his blindness to campaign against him

The following incumbents were however retained
John Davies…..Anaji West
Baba Salami….Yensuado
Christian Atsu…Zenith

The following are some new faces
Hannah Tetteh….lower New Takoradi
Samuel Amissah…..Upper New Takoradi
Anastasia Gilbert….Anaji East
Seidu Adams..,., Effiakuma East

A popular NPP Serial caller in the metropolis Ekow Appiah who contested at Nkotompo lost

And Ebenezer Kwamena Thompson an NDC serial caller also lost at Zongo/Estate in Sekondi.
