Constituency Executives lobby for removal of Evalue Dwira DCE

ndc-partyNineteen constituency executives out of the total of 26 members of the Evalue Dwiraa District have forwarded a petition to the President through the Western Regional Minister, asking for the removal of the District Chief Executive.

A committee was set up by the Regional Minister to sit over the matter. According to the NDC Deputy Secretary of the constituency, King Philip, they were assured after the deliberation over the petition that a committee report would be prepared and a copy given to the petitioners. But an angry Mr.Philip speaking with Skyy Headline News on Tuesday says “till now, nothing have been heard from the Regional Minister and his committee”. He explains that several efforts have been made to get the exact copy of the proceedings of the committee but to no avail.

According to him, the NDC executives in the Constituency are on strike at the moment. Recounting what has accounted for the executives’ displeasure in the District Chief Executive, Mr.Philip stated that, “he is disrespectful and is not making any impact, and this is not what the party needs in this crucial election year.”

He added that, “people have even refused to attend meetings because of him”. He also indicated that they are reliably informed that the DCE have offered GHS14,000 to the other 7 executives to rally solidly behind him and defend him at all times.

Mr.King Philip disclosed that, the executives will make a public declaration to terminate all working relationship with him, if they do not receive any positive response from the regional Minister by Thursday March 10, 2016.
