Ayariga’s party sells presidential nominations forms Ghc100,000

Hassan-Ayariga-GH-One-TV-696x462Mr Hassan Ayariga’s All People’s Congress (APC) has opened nominations for interested presidential candidates on the ticket of the political party to pick up nomination forms.

Fees for contesting the presidential primary has been pegged at a total cost Gh?100,000.

According to the General Secretary of the party, Mr Kwadwo Poku Razak, picking of the forms cost Gh?5000 whilst filing cost Gh?95,000.

The deadline for picking forms is Friday May 20 whilst filing is on Monday May 23, 2016.

According to the General Secretary, the party was currently electing its constituency and regional executives and that it has planned to go for the first national delegates’ congress on May 28, 2016 or second week of June in Kumasi to elect national executives to steer the affairs of the party for the next four years.

Those who will file their forms for the presidential bid would also be presented to the national delegates for election of a flagbearer for the 2016 elections.

Hassan Ayariga who contested the 2012 presidential elections on the ticket of the People’s National Congress (PNC), left the party to form the new APC after he lost the bid to lead the PNC again.

The Electoral Commission recently certified the APC to bring the total number of political parties in Ghana to 25.
