The Evironmental protection agency and the National Petroleum Authority must act as quickly as possible to avert a looming catastrophe at Kojokrom in the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis following a report of a leakage at a Goil fuel Station there.
A resident who alerted nsembig.com of this situation explains the neighbours noticed the leakage through a nearby gutter about a week ago.
According him, upon seeing some traces of fuel flowing through a nearby gutter, the attention of the Management of the Station was drawn upon which they also confirmed explaining it was due to a damage on one of their underground reservoir.
The situation has since not been rectified heightening the fear of residents since there are traders and artisans nearby who work with naked fire.
Authorities are being called upon to act swiftly to fastall any.
