Spiritual attack on the road delayed my work on the Fijai –Effia Nkwanta stretch – Contractor reveals

On going work on the Fijai-Effia Nkwanta stretch

The CEO of Asabea Constructions Limited, Mr. Samuel Ofori Larbi has revealed that the over 10 years delay of construction works on the Effia-Nkwanta Fijai stretch in Sekondi was as a result of spiritual attacks he always encountered anytime he started working on the road.

According to Mr. Ofori Larbi, “we were having serious challenges, the challenges are not finances alone, as for finances, I know I can do the work. That’s why I’m doing the work though up till now government has not paid me 1 cedi on the road but I’m almost finishing the work.”

“But we were having other spiritual challenges also attached on this road. So with all the noise people are making, the Engineers know me, they know the kind of work that I do and they know my performance. That’s why they were also quiet when people were making serious utterances they are quiet but I just prayed to God to give me the way to come and fix the road so when God opened the way for me, I quickly came back to the site and came to do the work” Mr. Ofori Larbi added.

The over 10 years abandoned work on the stretch that hosts the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Western Regional Headquarters of Ghana National Fire Service, The Centre for National Culture, Fijai Secondary School and other schools which is now almost completed would be done by the end of January 2019 according to the CEO of Asabea Construction.

“I’ve given myself middle of January but maximum by the end of January. I’ve given myself middle of January all the two sides would be fully asphalted” Mr. Ofori Larbi assured.
